F Color Diamonds in Texas for Engagement and Custom Rings

At one point in your life, you probably dreamed of walking down the aisle while sporting a sparkling diamond engagement ring on your finger.

After all, they say that diamonds are a girl’s best friend.

Well who would not want that, right? It’s like a fairytale coming into real life.

This does not have to be something that only happens in movies.

There are a handful of online and physical stores like Shira Diamonds that sell various kinds of loose and jewelry diamonds at great and reasonable prices.

And a usual favorite amongst new and repeat buyers are the F Color Diamonds.

What is an F Color Diamond?

The GIA color grading scale or diamond color chart classifies F color diamonds as “colorless”.

Colorless diamonds are gemstones not containing visible color tints, particularly shades of yellow.

F color is considered the third best in the bracket of colorless diamonds, behind D and E color.

These three are the most sought after colors of diamonds because of their beauty and rarity. Likewise, they have the highest tag prices.

Since F color is only the third best amongst the colorless diamonds, you might be thinking why should you buy it instead of the others? Is it good enough?

  • For starters, F color is one of the most in demand diamond colors. This can assure consumers that it is already industry-tested and a favorite amongst patrons.
  • It also happens to be cheapest in the colorless diamonds; slightly less expensive than E color and relatively cheaper than D color.
  • Despite being the cheapest, F color diamonds are just as good as the two. The differences in the color grades are almost unnoticeable to the naked eyes, even if you put these three together. Only a gemologist with an equipment and trained eyes would see the differences in details.
  • To the bare eyes, an F color diamond will be seen as an icy white or colorless gemstone. The spark and glimmer quality you are looking for under any lighting conditions are very much guaranteed with this color.

F Color Diamond Clarity

This standard is widely accepted and practiced by experts and shops worldwide.

Cut, color, carat, and clarity are the considerations that every buyer should look into before making a purchase.

Commonly directly associated with color is the clarity of diamonds.

After all, the visual appearance of the gemstone is mostly affected by these two – the color and the absence or presence of impurities.

The GIA Diamond Clarity Scale lists 6 categories that are subdivided into a total of 11 clarity grades.

This list is in order of descending quality – from no inclusion of blemishes (FL) to obvious blemishes (I).

  • Flawless (FL)
  • Internally Flawless (IF)
  • Very, Very Slightly Included (VVS1 and VVS2)
  • Very Slightly Included (VS1 and VS2)
  • Slightly Included (SI1 and SI2)
  • Included (I1, I2, and I3)

For the best quality, flawless clarity would be the best choice.

But of course this comes with a higher price. For a great clarity paired with a more affordable price, consumers may opt for F color diamond VS1 or F color diamond VS2.
